Short answer: No, we don't recommend it ❌
This has been done before with varying levels of success, so we'd rather be upfront than you having an application error as a result.
Here's why 👇
- Though our materials are transparent to help with visibility when applying your tattoo, from experience, it's difficult to match up two sides perfectly on the skin
- Each of our tattoo patches has a 0.5-inch stability border surrounding the useable canvas space, so there will always be extra adhesive around the design when applying it to the skin. We don't want the adhesive of the second patch to remove the ink in the already applied tattoo.
- Each design piece would be revised to best fit the submitted patch, not the overall design
- It voids our resend policy, we wouldn't be able to offer any compensation for issues experienced as a result 🙅
For context, here is an example of designs we would not recommend ordering. ❌🐯
Rather than spliting your design, check out the new larger sizes we now offer for custom tattoos, (6x3 inches and 7x2 inches) as well as our largest catalog tattoos 5.5 x 9 inches and 6.5 x 6.5 inches 📏
As an alternative to the patch tattoos, take a look at our Freehand Tattoo Markers instead, you're able to create a much larger design this way without the risk! ✍️
